Leicester Jazz House Presents: Arun Ghosh Quintet

Award-winning clarinettist ARUN GHOSH returns to The Y Theatre, with a feel-good set of music from across his five acclaimed albums.

The British-Asian musician and composer is a leading light on the UK jazz scene, and is considered a renowned innovator of modern IndoJazz. His Quintet deliver a passionate sound, driven by soaring melodies, hypnotic rhythms and transcendental textures.

Sometimes evocative and introspective, other times searing and effervescent…the music is brought to life and given breath by Arun’s uniquely expressive clarinet playing and style, vibrancy and spirit.

Arun, just back from a world tour with international sitarist Anoushka Shankar, is delighted and excited to return to his beloved Leicester, for this rare and special show of his own music, alongside longtime collaborators and musical comrades.
