Festive Card and Gift Wrap Lino Printing
Carve your own lino stamp and have fun printing
Unique festive cards and wrap.
Create your own unique stamp carved from lino
And experiment with the printing process, exploring repeating, rotating and
offsetting your design to create your very own Christmas cards, tags and/or
Wrapping paper.
Tutor Jo will demonstrate how to transfer your
Design to lino and how to use lino cutting tools to carve your designs.
You’ll learn the print making process and how to repeat, rotate and offset
Designs, as well as experimenting with colour and printing onto different
Formats such as cards, tags and wrapping paper.
About the tutor:
Tutor Jo Shearer is an artist and art educator
from Leicestershire. Jo believes that art is for everyone. After teaching art in secondary schools and
colleges in Hertfordshire and Leicestershire for over 10 years she moved into
one-to-one tuition and workshops. She enjoys nurturing creativity and developing skills to build confidence
And recognises the therapeutic benefits achieved through the process of
making. She loves the freedom of working in a variety of media and has a
Passion for printmaking.

Participants must be aged
14+. Under 18s must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times.
This
half-day workshop will start at 10am and end at 2pm. There’ll be a short
break for lunch. Our café will be closed for the refurbishment works at this
Time so please bring a packed lunch with you.
Please wear old clothes
And/or bring an apron - printing can get messy!

We have four blue badge parking spaces outside Attenborough Arts
Centre, plus double yellow line roadside parking very close to the building
For blue badge holders for up to three hours if our parking spaces are
Occupied.
Free
Parking for all customers is available after 5pm on weekdays and all day at
weekends in the University of Leicester car park next door to Attenborough
Arts Centre on Lancaster Road. The closest public car park for parking at all
other times is Victoria Park, 5-10 minutes walk from us (near De Montfort
Hall).
