Discover what life in Britain was like after the end of Roman rule in a hands-on, Drop-in workshop for all ages. Explore Britain’s final Roman hoards, extraordinary collections of buried treasure left behind during a time of huge political and social change and never reclaimed by the people who hid them.

Meet specialists from the British Museum and University of Kent and discover how archaeologists investigate, analyse and interpret these treasure hoards. Through interactive activities, you’ll uncover what these concealed riches reveal about everyday life, shifting economic networks and expressions of status.

Free Drop-in event. No booking required – simply visit us in the JewryWall museum café.

This event is supported by the UKRI Arts and Humanities Research Council as part of the Britain’s last Roman Hoards wealth, power and culture in the fifth century project
