Eleventh Hour
Set in the fast-paced world that was the early 2000s techno-revolution, Eleventh Hour re-imagines Shakespeares beloved comedy, Twelfth Night. Amidst the feverish rivalry of three competing internet start-ups at the dawn of social media, the digital landscape becomes the stage for timeless human struggles.
When two online friends are separated by a catastrophic server crash, they set off into the world alone, unsure if they'll find each other again. As they try to move on with their lives, they find themselves tangled up in the web of three internet start-upseach vying for dominance in the new frontier of online communities. Can they find out who are they are (and even find each other) as online personas and real-world ambitions intertwine? And what about the other people who share their world? How will they be affected by the stories playing out around them? This witty, fast-paced play is packed with disguises, mistaken identities, power struggles, and questions: Can we truly know ourselves in a digital age, and is saying sorry ever enough?
Eleventh Hour is a new take on an old comedy, raising questions about authenticity, forgiveness, perspective, and the search for meaning in a world more connectedand dividedthan ever before.
