Electric Dreams – The Music of Film and Television
Electric Dreams brings together music from some of the most distinctive and influential films and television series of our time. Featuring iconic themes from Interstellar, Twin Peaks, Game of Thrones, The Truman Show, Severance, Amelie, The Mission, American Beauty, Pulp Fiction and more, this immersive programme is performed by The Harborough Collective ensemble of strings, keyboard and percussion, directed by locally based trailblazing violinist David Le Page.
Arranged by David himself, these striking new interpretations are reimagined through his own distinctive musical voice. Drawing on the work of Hans Zimmer, Philip Glass, Samuel Barber, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Ennio Morricone, Ravel, Radiohead, Yann Tiersen and more, the programme moves effortlessly between cinematic grandeur, minimalist beauty and atmospheric intensity.
Blending film music, classical influences and contemporary sound worlds, Electric Dreams explores the unforgettable themes that have shaped our collective cinematic imagination in an immersive experience not to be missed.
The Harborough Collective was formed in 2010 by David Le Page, one of the UK’s most sought-after violinists and a former pupil of the Yehudi Menuhin School. David, who lives in Market Harborough, created the group with the aim of providing regular high quality concerts for the large number of music lovers who live in the town and its surrounding area. The ensemble draws on the talents of this country’s most outstanding professional musicians who perform as soloists, chamber musicians and orchestral players all over the world. The Collective has gained a national reputation for thrilling performances of the highest calibre and is also establishing Market Harborough as an indispensable platform for Classical music in Leicestershire.
