Clockmaking – Kibworth clockmakers past and present
There have been clockmakers in Kibworth for centuries.
We are delighted to welcome C. Mike Folwell MBHI to the library on Thursday 7th May to give a talk entitled Clockmaking, Kibworth Clockmakers, Past and Present.
Hell be looking at what clocks are, how they are made and who, what and how other trades engaged in making what we have remaining today. He'll also be discussing longcase clocks as these would be what was generally made in the village.
Doors open at 11.45am for a 12pm start.
Tickets are 7 and include a delicious snack lunch at 1pm (gluten free is available).
