Carlton Kirby, the voice of cycling, is maybe the last of the great character commentators – cycling’s answer to cricket’s Henry Blofeld, F1’s Murray Walker, or darts’ Sid Waddell. On the eve of the 2026 Tour de France, Carlton shares inside stories and frank opinions from his 25 years’ covering the sport.In a funny and revealing evening for all cycling fans, Carlton will reflect on his front-row experiences from the Tour and other big races – plus the lessons he’s learned from life on the road, as a bon viveur in budget hotels across Europe. Carlton will be in conversation with former Pro-cycling magazine writer Duncan Steer.
