Blue Monday at Boost Leicester
Oxygen Activeplay is offering £3 sessions all day on Monday 19th January, giving 6,000 reasons to smile this Blue Monday, with all proceeds going to children’s charity Barnardo’s
This Blue Monday (19th January), Oxygen Activeplay and Barnardo’s have teamed up to turn frowns upside down, offering £3 sessions in all 13 parks across the country, creating 6,000 opportunities to bounce the blues away.
Aiming to transform the “saddest day of the year”, Oxygen, plus sister brands Boost and RedKangaroo, will be hosting sessions throughout the day, with 100% of the session proceeds being donated to major children’s charity, Barnardo’s.
Local families, including the big kids, will be able to bounce, climb, leap and play to their hearts’ content, making the most of interconnected trampolines and unique activities in every park, including everything from inflatables and soft play areas to giant airbags and interactive strike arenas. Oxygen’s awesome Hero Crew will also be on hand to make sure everyone is having BIG-TIME fun with some extra special dances, activities, and games.
Making sure no-one misses out on the fun, families will be able to book onto dedicated sessions for Toddler Play and Peaceful Play, which are aimed at children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), as well as Open Play sessions.
Parks are located in Acton, Croydon, Derby, at Manchester’s MediaCity, at London’s The O2, Rayleigh, Reading, Romford, Wilmslow and York. Boost Trampoline Park in Leicester, and two RedKangaroo Trampoline Parks in Nottingham and Coventry, which are all operated as Oxygen sister brands, will also be opening their doors on Blue Monday.
Barnardo’s has been helping children, young people and families to be safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful for more than 150 years. Last year, the charity provided essential support to over 350,000 children, parents and carers through more than 650 services and partnerships across the UK.
Stephen Wilson, CEO at Oxygen Activeplay, said: “We absolutely loved opening the doors to all of our parks for free last Blue Monday and really enjoyed meeting so many families from our local communities and watching them let loose and have fun. This year, we wanted to go one step further and not only welcome local families in once again, but ask them to help us support more families in need across the UK.
“Barnardo’s is a fantastic charity and we’re really proud to be able to support the amazing work that they are doing by donating 100% of the proceeds from our Blue Monday session tickets. We want to see as many people there as possible, bouncing their blues away for a very good cause!”
Lynn Perry, chief executive of Barnardo’s, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Oxygen Activeplay for supporting Barnardo’s. Every donation will help us continue supporting children, young people and families across the UK.”
Blue Monday sessions all cost £3 and can be booked online via the Oxygen website. All jumpers must wear Oxygen socks during their sessions, which can be brought from a previous visit or purchased at a discounted rate of just £1 (usually £3).
