As co-founder and former lead guitarist of one of the UK’s hottest bands, Catfish & the Bottlemen, Billy Bibby is no newcomer to the British music scene. In 2007, at the age of 17, Billy became the elder statesman of this working class quartet formed in Llandudno, North Wales.
Catfish & the Bottlemen relentlessly gigged their way across the UK, and occasionally abroad, building a fiercely loyal fan base, selling out increasingly larger venues, and ultimately securing a recording deal in 2014 that would lead to the release of a top 10 debut album certified gold in the UK
Billy's musical career is taking on a new direction as he seeks to forge his way in the industry as frontman of a project showcasing his own songwriting. Billy Bibby's expressive voice surprises and delights the listener with its flawless, timeless, and effortless qualities. Possessing powerful, melodic pipes and a set of songs to match, Billy prides himself on making meaningful, relateable records that resonates with everyday people. Influences from such greats as Elvis Presley, Noel Gallagher and Mark Knopfler are prominent, but not defining his musical approach.
