Beyond a Joke: Being a professional comedian, and getting paid for the work you do

14th February
De Montfort University, The Gateway, Leicester, LE1 9BH

In this session organised by Equity we will outline the key stages you need to move through in becoming a professional comedian. In particular, although free gigs and profit share are what you need to get to become established, ensuring you are being properly contracted, and able to be paid for the work you do, is essential to being a professional in the industry. This session will ensure you have the right knowledge and resources to understand good practice when being booked for gigs.
