Aisha Amanduri: God Save the Khan WIP

14th February
Grays Café, 31 Rutland Street, Leicester, LE1 1RE

Too Kazakh for Britain, too Western for Kazakhstan and just exotic enough for old men in pubs. In this new work-in-progress, A Bath Comedy Festival's New Act Award Runner-up (2024) and Funny Women One to Watch (2023), Aisha Amanduri explores being “openly immigrant” and the absurdity of growing up between cultures never quite fitting in. Expect ADHD tangents, dark twists and historical hot takes in a debut that’s as chaotic as it is heartfelt.

50% of the show proceeds going to MAP.

“combines slick delivery with stereotype-crushing material” – Rolling Stone

“It's nice!" – Borat (probably)
