Newtown Linford Choral Society will be presenting 'A Concert For Peace' at Emmanuel Church, Loughborough, on Saturday 31 January, 2026 at 7.30 pm, under the direction of Musical Director, Sue Ford. The music will include The Armed Man Choral Suite, composed by Karl Jenkins, which is a powerful piece outlining in musical terms the descent into war, and its consequences. Other music to be performed will include arrangements of The Lord is My Shepherd. Lamb of God, Healing Light, and Song of the Wanderer.
The choir will be accompanied by an orchestra, and also supported by a talented group of young singers who will perform O Magnum Mysterium, composed by Morten Lauridson.
