A Celebration of Biodiversity Exhibition & Eco Extravaganza

A Celebration of Biodiversity is a unique community art exhibition presented by Insecta Collective CIC, bringing together artwork by adults and children from Leicester and across the globe. With submissions from artists in 24 countries, the exhibition celebrates our shared appreciation for biodiversity, wildlife, climate and the natural world.

The exhibition combines a physical gallery with an immersive 3D virtual exhibition, allowing visitors to explore even more international artwork that could not be displayed in person. By connecting artists across continents, the exhibition highlights the universal importance of protecting nature and fostering environmental stewardship.

Alongside the exhibition, visitors can enjoy a programme of creative activities including nature-inspired family workshops, free drop-in art sessions, interactive installations, an eco-zine zone exploring environmental publications, a charity print sale supporting wildlife conservation, and a selection of locally made arts and crafts.

A Celebration of Biodiversity provides a platform for established and emerging artists alike, with many children and young people exhibiting their work publicly for the first time. By showcasing their artwork alongside that of experienced artists, the exhibition celebrates creativity at every stage while encouraging new voices to engage with environmental themes.
