Loughborough Fair 2026: All You Need to Know

October 30th 2026

Loughborough’s historic street fair is back for its incredible 805th year!

Transforming the heart of the town into a bustling celebration of lights, sounds, and family fun, this is one autumn tradition you do not want to miss.

Dates and Opening Times

The fair runs across four action-packed days in November. Make sure to check the daily opening hours before you plan your visit:

  • Wednesday, 11th November: 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm
  • Thursday, 12th November: 12:00 pm – 11:00 pm
  • Friday, 13th November: 11:00 am – 11:00 pm
  • Saturday, 14th November: 11:00 am – 11:00 pm

Rides, Food, and Traders

True to tradition, roughly 100 dedicated showpeople will fill the town centre with an amazing lineup of attractions, featuring around 20 large white-knuckle rides alongside numerous children’s rides.

No trip to the fair is complete without trying out traditional games like hook-a-duck and grabbing classic fairground snacks. You can treat yourself to hot doughnuts, candy floss, and other traditional refreshment stalls while you explore the bustling streets.

Parking and Car Parks

If you are driving to the fair, several council-operated town centre car parks remain open and are within easy walking distance of the attractions:

  • Beehive Lane Multi-Storey: Beehive Lane (off Woodgate), Loughborough, LE11 2TY
  • Browns Lane Car Park: Loughborough Leisure Centre, Browns Lane, Loughborough, LE11 3HE
  • Charnwood Borough Council Offices: Southfield Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TX
  • Southfield Road Car Park: Southfields Road, Loughborough, LE11 2TL

Public Transport and Bus Routes

Because the fair takes over the town centre, local bus services—including Arriva, Kinchbus, and Centrebus—run on temporary diversions to avoid the road closures. If you are travelling by bus, check with your local operator before you set off, as town centre stops may be moved slightly further out to accommodate the rides.
