Love Narborough Arts, Food and Wine Festival: Sat 13 & Sun 14 June
Taking place across multiple venues in Narborough Town Centre, the Arts, Food and Wine Festival features an art exhibition, makers market, wine tasting, flower festival, children’s activities and lots more across the whole weekend!
Festival In The Den: Sat 20 June
This annual event at the Leicester Lions rugby club is a fantastic family day out featuring some of the top tribute acts from around the UK, fairground rides, and food vendors. Confirmed bands include Queen (QEII); The Moderators (Ska/2 Tone Classics); Oasis Forever; Johnny & The Goodtime Boys (A Tribute to Disco & Funk); Sound Of The Lioness (Amy Winehouse Tribute), Do It Like Dua (Dua Lipa Tribute); Bob Marley (Tann I Brown). Cosby Yarn Bomb: 8-29 July
Coming back after a year away this family friendly event is one of the highlights of the summer. Explore the pretty village of Cosby and discover 80 textile art and interactive displays made by the local community! And it’s totally FREE!
GlastonBlaby Charity Music Festival: 1 August
Taking place at Leicester Lions rugby club this excellent family event features fantastic tribute acts and some of the most exciting up and coming bands in the county. Get the real festival experience while supporting charities including Leicestershire Search and Rescue, LOROS, Menphys and Bright Hope. Get your tickets here!
The Victory Show: Fri 4 – Sun 6 September
The Victory Show is the UK’s largest WWII re-enactment weekend, taking place across the 100 acre Foxlands Farm in Cosby. You’ll be transported back to the 1940s with hundreds of re-enactors bringing the past to life across huge encampments, more than 300 restored military vehicles from the Second World War, static aircraft displays plus fly-bys from some of the most iconic WWII planes and extensive recreations, including a massive tank battle.

There are also some fantastic events taking place in the towns and villages, including seaside fun at Thorpe Astley on the Beach on Saturday 13 June, the Stoney Stanton Carnival, also on Saturday 13 June, the Enderby Summer Fete on Saturday 27 June, and Lubbfest featuring live music and a great family day out on Saturday 4 July.
It’s also the perfect time to explore some of the District’s hidden gems with guided canalside tours, talks and tours of the Bouskell Park Ice House and the historic Glenfield Tunnel with its short gauge railway.
